Witherspoon credits older brother for pulling her through divorce

Washington, Oct 21 : Actress Reese Witherspoon has acknowledged her brother's support to help her cope with her divorce from actor Ryan Philippe.

The actress was shattered after the separation from Philippe in 2006 and the following reports of his infidelity.

The mum of two said that she is very luck to have a supportive family and friends who stand by her.

"It's been a challenging year. But I feel I am so lucky to have a wonderful family and great friends," Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.

The Oscar winner added that older brother John calls her thrice everyday to check on her.

"My brother calls me three times a day to see how I'm doing and that's a real stabilising element in my life," she added.
