Macy attacks US censors
Malaysia Sun (IANS) Tuesday 5th February, 2008
Actor William H. Macy wants the US censors to get therapy because he is shocked that gory films are beating sex scenes for favourable ratings.
Macy calls the censors 'puritan and calvinistic' of 'running rampant' and allowing young children to see the wrong things on screen, contactmusic.com reports.
He said: 'You can disembowel a young woman, but you can't show her breasts and I think that's obscene. I think sex is good, it's very good; even when it's bad it's pretty good. And violence is bad and it's always bad.
'It's disgusting that you can let a 15-year-old watch that blood and guts but you can't watch two people making love. That's sick. I think some of the people who decide the ratings really need to get into therapy.'
