DAVAO CITY, March 24 (PIA)- Several hotels and accommodation establishments in Davao City has opened its doors to medical frontliners and Business Process Outsourcing workers.
Among these establishments include Blue Lotus Hotel and OYO Hotels (Davao Airport View, Circle-B Suites, Chateau Cinco Dormitel, D' Airbus Inn, Yellow Pad, Sharana Pensionne, Capital O World Palace), Oh George Drive-In have offered accommodations to healthcare workers and BPO workers.
"We are thankful for them for allowing the nurses and BPO workers to stay, this will allow them safe and easier access to their workplaces while complying with government requirements," Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industries Inc. (DCCCII) president John Carlo Tria said in a statement.
The DCCCII has listed several hotels and accommodation establishments in their Facebook pages.
Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte on her radio guesting at 87.5 Davao City Disaster Radio bared that she asked Vice-Mayor Sebastian Duterte to talk to motels if they can provide temporary shelter to healthcare workers particularly nurses who were kicked out from their boarding houses and dormitories.
Oh George one of the motels in the city have acceded to the request. They operate two branches, one in San Rafael Road in Maa and another motel in Ecoland Drive.
The Mayor thanked the motel establishment for offering their place to the evicted nurses.
Queensland Motel as PUI center
The 240-room Queensland Hotel in Davao City has been designated as a center for mild Persons Under Investigation (PUI).
According to Mayor Sara Duterte during her guesting at Davao City Disaster Radio the hotel is being cleaned and readied.(PIA/RG Alama)
