JAKARTA -- Indonesia has registered more than 2 million cases of COVID-19 on Monday since the first case was confirmed in the country in March last year.
The country's Health Ministry said the COVID-19 cases across the country rose by 14,536 within the past 24 hours to 2,004,445, the largest single day increase in new cases. (Indonesia-COVID-19 cases-Two million)

KUALA LUMPUR -- Malaysia reported another 4,611 new COVID-19 infections, bringing the national total to 701,019, the health ministry said on Monday.
Health Ministry Director-General Noor Hisham Abdullah said in a press statement that another 69 more deaths have been reported, bringing the death toll to 4,477. (Malaysia-Pandemic)

PHNOM PENH -- Cambodian Minister of Public Works and Transport Sun Chanthol said Monday that the construction of the Chinese-invested Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway has gone full steam despite the COVID-19 pandemic and is expected to be completed ahead of schedule.
Invested by China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC), the 2-billion-U.S.-dollar expressway will connect the capital city of Phnom Penh and the deep-sea port province of Preah Sihanouk in the country's southwestern part. (Cambodia-China-Expressway project)
