KUALA LUMPUR, Jan. 14 (Xinhua) -- Malaysia has reported another 3,684 new COVID-19 infections as of midnight Thursday, bringing the national total to 2,798,917, according to the health ministry.
There are another 321 new imported cases, with 3,363 being local transmissions, data released on the ministry's website showed.
Another 12 deaths have been reported, bringing the death toll to 31,750.
The ministry reported 3,292 new recoveries, bringing the total number of cured and discharged to 2,726,891.
There are 40,276 active cases, 198 are being held in intensive care and 93 of them are in need of assisted breathing.
The country reported 265,957 vaccine doses administered on Thursday alone and 79.7 percent of the population have received at least one dose, 78.6 percent are fully vaccinated and 27 percent have received boosters.
