ABU DHABI, 16th January, 2023 (WAM) -- Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, met with Nik Nazmi bin Nik Ahmad, Minister of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change of Malaysia, to discuss ways of strengthening the cooperation between the UAE and Malaysia in the energy sector, especially in clean energy.
During the meeting, which was held in Abu Dhabi, the two sides talked about achieving progress in meeting the Sustainable Development Goals, and working together to help address climate change, the hosting of COP28, and several issues of mutual concern.
They then highlighted the deep-rooted relations between the UAE and Malaysia and their keenness to boost their bilateral ties in all areas, most notably energy, infrastructure, climate action, the environment and natural resources.
The two sides also discussed ways of widening their cooperation to benefit both countries and their peoples.
