KATHMANDU, Nepal - The search for one of the 72 people killed in the Pokhara plane crash is continuing, according to the Nepali Army.
Rescue teams have already recovered the bodies of 71 people killed in the crash, with one person still missing, according to Army spokesperson Krishna Prasad Bhandari.
Even though the Kaski District Security Committee ended the search on January 21, he said the Army had continued its search.
On January 15, an ATR 72 plane carrying 72 people, including four crew members, crashed into the Seti gorge in Pokhara, killing everyone on board. The flight was from Kathmandu to Pokhara.
According to Bhandari, a joint rescue team of the Army, Nepal Police, and Armed Police Force has already recovered the bodies of 71 people killed in the incident. The team also handed over the black box discovered during the rescue efforts to the Nepal Civil Aviation Authority.
