WARSAW, Poland: Microsoft has announced a major new investment of $700 million in Poland to strengthen the country's cybersecurity and expand its collaboration with the Polish armed forces.
Speaking at a joint press conference with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, Microsoft President Brad Smith said the investment marks the second phase of the company's commitment to Poland, following a $1 billion data center project first announced in 2020.
The first phase of Microsoft's investment saw the launch of a Polish data center in 2023, providing cloud services to businesses and government institutions. The latest funding will focus on bolstering cybersecurity, but specific details on how the money will be allocated were not provided.
